Deep Research
With a Bias Toward Simplification.
The objective is not to add complexity — it is to understand deeply enough to simplify intelligently.
What My Research Has Focused On
I have studied the market, the trader and the process around them — looking for the structure underneath what is visible.
Market & Price Behaviour
- Understanding recurring structures, price behaviour and market characteristics.
Trader Analysis
- Studying how traders think, research, select markets and instruments, make decisions, manage distractions and experience recurring challenges.
Trading Processes & Workflows
- Understanding how research, information and workflow affect focus, productivity, efficiency, time consumption and decision-making.
Independent Logic Development
- Developing my own conditions, calculations, parameters, frameworks and research methodologies.
Understand Deeply → Simplify Intelligently
I am naturally drawn to deep research. Whether I am studying markets, chart behaviour, traders inside out or technology, I tend to keep going until I understand the underlying structure of the problem.
But research, in my view, should not automatically make things more complicated. The purpose of deep research should often be the opposite.
Market Behaviour vs Timeframes
Understanding the Market Through Process, Structure & Time.
A major part of my research has focused on understanding both trending and ranging markets, and how recurring chart structures behave across different timeframes.
My research led me to a simple observation: Markets may change their timeframe, but their underlying behaviour does not necessarily change.
The same type of market structure or pattern can appear on different timeframes — from minutes to hours — when studied through the right conditions, logic and time relationship.
Instead of constantly switching timeframes when a pattern is not immediately found, I focus on understanding which timeframe and time interval the structure is actually forming within, and then evaluating whether it fits the trader’s objective, holding period and risk framework.
Process Before Execution
One of the strongest observations from my years of studying and engaging with traders is that many focus directly on execution while bypassing the process that should lead to the decision.
My research therefore places workflow and process before execution.
Conclusion: Without the right process, research can lose direction, logic can become inconsistent, and even discipline, patience and risk management can become difficult to apply effectively.
Understanding Patterns Rather Than Simply Naming Them
My interest in chart patterns developed from the same philosophy. Instead of simply accepting predefined pattern names and definitions, I wanted to understand:
- Why does this structure form?
- What conditions create it?
- Can those conditions be defined objectively?
- Can the structure be expressed through logic and calculations?
- Can the research process be made more systematic?
Over the years, I have independently developed and experimented with chart-pattern conditions, deep logic, calculations, parameters and documentation based on my own research and understanding.
The objective is not simply to identify a visual pattern. It is to understand the structure deeply enough to convert it into a measurable, testable and potentially programmable process.
Turning Visual Market Behaviour Into Measurable Logic
Charts provide a visual representation of what the market is doing.
When price repeatedly creates a particular structure or shape, that visual behaviour can sometimes communicate information without requiring layers of additional complexity.
This is what attracted me to chart-pattern research.
Rather than continuously adding indicators, oscillators and layers of complexity, I became interested in understanding whether price structure itself could provide useful information when studied through objective conditions and rules.
The goal is not to simplify markets artificially. The goal is to discover whether unnecessary complexity can be reduced while preserving useful information.
